Brief description of the project:
The project concerns the development of the Wako Tools company by implementing a product innovation on a national scale and a process innovation on a Masovian Voivodeship scale. The company, having extensive experience in the tool industry, has obtained results through R&D work that will allow it to achieve its goal of gaining an advantage on the competitive market. The results of R&D work include the development of new assumptions related to the geometry, material and coating for specialist tools for the automotive industry – car body drills and for the aviation industry – aircraft broaches. The process innovation will implement a new approach to the production process in the Applicant’s company and will enable the introduction of significantly improved products to the market. The extension of the tool’s life cycle and new functionalities will be achieved through the implementation of an investment focused on equipping the machine park with the following elements: a CNC grinder with software, a screw compressor, an oil mist extraction filter, a particulate filter in oil, a marking laser and a B2B platform for contacts with customers, which will facilitate the introduction of new products to the market.

Project objectives and effects:
The aim of the project is to introduce a process innovation at WAKO TOOLS, which will implement two significantly improved and innovative products on a national scale in the form of: an aircraft broach and a body drill, which are the result of R&D work. This investment will introduce a fundamental change to the production process in the company through full automation of the processes necessary to produce significantly improved tools. The purchase of a CNC grinding machine will be a milestone in the development of the Wako Tools company, which will allow for the omission of a number of previous production processes in the company. In addition, at the implementation stage, the Applicant will cooperate with the Institute of Precision Mechanics, which will consist in joint optimization of the machine’s operation in order to maintain the quality parameters of significantly improved products in the form of an aircraft broach and a body drill. The investment will increase the competitiveness of the Applicant’s company by being able to offer significantly improved tools. The implementation of the investment will create the possibility of implementing innovative products into production, increasing production capacities and enabling further improvements to the company’s offer.
The implementation of the project will make the Applicant’s offer more beneficial and attractive. The purchase of a modern grinder will improve Wako’s technical capabilities in the area of implementing unusual tool geometries or shapes, establishing new business contacts and strengthening the company’s competitiveness, enabling its further development in the scope of expanding the product offer.
